Subsequently, the committee of the Club has implemented a data protection policy, as part of which we will not share information about our members with any third party, nor publish private data about our members on our website.
Who we are.
The English Speaking Club of Schaffhausen (TESCOS for short, hereinafter The Club) is a non-profit-making organisation, which has been in existence since 1973. Our website address is https://tescos-sh.com/. The Club is managed by a Committee elected by its members at its Annual General Meeting each year.

Essential data collected for the purposes of organising regular events and for informing members about events and development of the Club are typically: the names, addresses telephone numbers and Email addresses of members. Since establishing this website, uploaded to the internet on April 1st 2019, information about the number of visits made to the website per unit of time e.g. day, week, month etc. is gathered automatically. This is not person-specific. Photographic images of members may be taken at events or submitted by members themselves. Persons wishing to join The Club or to maintain their membership are required to approve of The Club making use of the aforementioned data and images. On its part, The Club declares its intention never to misuse such information in any way.
Members and users of the site have the right to know what information about them is being held by The Club. Alex Maitland, President of The Club, is responsible for maintaining the data protection privacy of The Club.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, The Club collects the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to enable spam detection.
Media
Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the website. If visitors upload images to the website, they should therefore avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.
